Chief among our core beliefs, is that God's Kingdom will be established on earth; and that it will wipe out all suffering. Indeed, more and more, it seems certain that God's Kingdom is the only thing that can do so.
We're reminded to exercise faith in God's promise of a far better world than this one, but the bible weaves a description of a place so miraculous and wondrous that it can be hard to comprehend, let alone see yourself there.
This book series began as a form of personal study; to help me 'see' the promised New World more clearly; and then just didn't stop. Others in my family and congregation got to hear of it, and asked to read the early chapter drafts. If there's one thing Witnesses know how to do, it's support and encourage each other. If this story provides you with any hope and strength in trying times, or makes you think about something differently, or more clearly, then it's absolutely been worth the effort.
All through bible history, those that put their faith and trust in Jehovah God had their understanding grow as time went on. We currently have enough understanding of the New System to look forward to it with joy; but there's still an awful lot to learn about the day-to-day life we will be leading.
A lot of this story is made up, coming from my own speculation, checked against as much personal study and research as I could do. My reasoning has been explained in several places; and I make no secret of the parts that I've 'speculated' on.
I really can't wait to find out which parts I've gotten wrong!
